Successful innovation is not just about coming up with great ideas.
It is ability to take those great ideas, ensuring they add significant value to all users and can be applied to create tangible organisational and business impact.
Innovation is driven by people and The Irish Times and InterTradeIreland want to acknowledge the people who drive innovation in their organisations by inviting indigenous and international companies, small, medium or large, and who are operating throughout the island of Ireland, to promote service, product or operational innovation by entering the second annual Irish Times InterTradeIreland Innovation Awards, which will be held in March 2011.
Ireland may not be the first country that comes to mind when technology and business development are discussed, but it’s those two areas that has Jacksonville interested in developing relationships with the island nation. Members of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Cornerstone Regional Development Partnership visitedShannon, Ireland in the spring of this year to develop business relationships after meeting people from Westpark Business Campus Shannon, an Ireland version of Jacksonville’s Cornerstone.“Our regions are very similar, so we wanted to see what we could learn from what they have done and let them know what Jacksonville can offer,” said Mike Breen, director of Cornerstone’s International Department.
